Questions agents ask us

What is EverHome?

A free home portal for homeowners. It's where your client's inspection report is delivered. After closing, it becomes a record of their home: the report and photos, a maintenance plan built from the systems in the house, a Home Health Score, stored documents, and a chat assistant that answers questions about the home.

Who owns EverHome?

EverHome is part of LaunchPad Home Group, the family of home inspection companies. We created EverHome because the information gathered during a home inspection can be useful to your clients long after inspection day — not just during the transaction.

EverHome does not change the inspection or create any obligation for the agent or homebuyer. It gives homeowners a way to keep using what they learned about their home after closing, with their inspection report and photos, maintenance plan, Home Health Score, home documents, and other home information all in one place.

Does the inspector make money from EverHome?

No. No inspector or inspection company receives any compensation tied to EverHome, to any quote a homeowner requests, or to anything a homeowner buys. Inspectors are paid to inspect. That's it.

Then how does EverHome make money?

Homeowners never pay. When a homeowner asks for a quote or claims an offer, the contractor, retailer, or service partner pays EverHome a referral fee. What a partner pays never changes what the homeowner pays, and it never affects what the inspector finds or writes. Full details are in our referral disclosure.

Does this change the inspection or the report?

No. Same inspector, same inspection, same report. When your client's inspection report is delivered, it unlocks their EverHome portal, where their inspection report will live. They'll click the link in their report delivery email to access their portal, view their report, and take advantage of the additional EverHome benefits outlined above.

Does the inspector recommend contractors?

No. Inspectors do not refer, recommend, or select contractors, and they are not compensated by any contractor. If a homeowner asks EverHome for a quote, the request goes to independent third-party providers who contact the homeowner directly. The homeowner chooses who to hire. EverHome does not perform or warrant the work.

Am I in my client's portal?

Yes. Your name and contact information appear in your client's portal as their agent so they can easily get in touch with you.

Will EverHome contact my client?

Yes. Your client gets a welcome email when their portal unlocks, occasional emails about maintenance and their home, and our team may call to offer help getting quotes on items from their inspection. Your client can unsubscribe or decline at any time.

What happens to my client's information?

It belongs to your client. We do not sell personal information. Your client's details are shared with a contractor or partner only when your client requests a quote or claims an offer, and only with that provider. We may share anonymized, aggregated data that does not identify your client.

Does my client have to use it?

No. EverHome is free and optional. Your client can open their report and ignore everything else, or use as much of the portal as they want.

Is this allowed where inspectors are regulated?

EverHome is a separate LaunchPad service. Inspectors do not refer contractors, receive nothing from EverHome or from any provider, and are not compensated directly or indirectly in relation to any EverHome offerings.

Who do I contact with questions?

Email [email protected], or reach out to your contact at the inspection company. Either one gets to us.
